Carpentry/ Building

These are projects that I worked on through the years, either with other companies or on my own. I have had the label of builder, lead carpenter, cabinet maker, and designer.

Most of the projects I was engaged in were remodels and built-ins and were very dependent on good communication with the client, as I was often in their home for extended periods on a project. I worked with a large number of great subcontractors during this period that helped me accomplish much of the good work that we did. There was a great deal of emphasis placed on good communication, project management, and an understanding and empathizing with client needs. There is much more process than simply building and construction to any design/build project.

I no longer focus on this type of work, though it does occasionally come up when a design or art project demands this skill set. I've chosen to include examples in my portfolio for this reason..
